#OccupyWallStreet: What Is Your F*cking Message? [VIDEO]

Unless you’ve been under a rock for the past couple of weeks, you already know about the Occupy Wall Street protest — the brainchild of the hacker group, Anonymous. The group called for the protest to begin on September 17, 2011 and the crowds of protestors began to assemble in the area near Wall Street. During the initial days of the protest, an apparent media blackout was in effect resulting in very little media coverage. Nevertheless, word of the protests continued to spread via social networks, such as Facebook and Twitter.

The original message seemed to be blatantly against the current U.S. financial system, and Wall Street in particular. Since its inception, the “Occupy” protests have spread worldwide. Demonstrations are ongoing or planned in New York, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Houston, Washington D.C, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and other places around the world.
Heit & Cheri discuss the recent Occupy Wall Street protests, asking the question, “What is your f*ucking message?” Increased media attention on the protests, after days of scarce coverage, would lead a thinking person to ask questions about the nature of the protest, protestors and support organizations. Is this an effective means to catalyze change, or will it be soon forgotten once the protesters clear the scene? In the end, what individuals or organizations will benefit?
Check out the video below to hear the discussion. Be sure to tune in to the official Axiom Amnesia podcast, set to launch on October 12th.
