The plot in the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman case thickens, with Witness #9 accusing George Zimmerman of sexual assault on her when they were children. Zimmerman’s Attorney Mark O’Mara has since confirmed that the witness is Zimmerman’s cousin. This testimony is located in the Witness #9 recordings, which were part of the discovery files that the Florida State Attorney’s Office released today, 7/16/2012. Witness #9 recounts how George Zimmerman allegedly “would put his hands in-under my pants, under my underwear and basically just finger me…” She says that these events began when she was about 6 to 7 years old and George Zimmerman was a couple of years older than her.

She alleges that these events continued, even until she was 16. She says that she didn’t want to tell what had happened, because Zimmerman had “sucked up” to her father. She says that she wanted to make it stop, but she didn’t know how to make it stop. She was afraid of his advances, because he was intimidating to her. She said that he made everyone love him, but he was different with her. During the recording, she recounts their final sexual encounter with him in his parent’s home in St. Mary, Florida. She said that he began fondling her and told her to lie down on the bed. He then pressed his body against her, and she could feel an erection. Being scared, she ran from his home. He allegedly chased her to the door and didn’t follow her beyond the door as she ran away.

Now we see why Zimmerman’s attorney Mark O’Mara fought so hard to keep the public from hearing these tapes. More to follow once we have a chance to review all of the recordings.
