Trayvon Martin 911 Calls [Audio]

Late on the evening of March 16, 2012, the Sanford Police Department released the 911 tapes related to the Trayvon Martin murder. You can listen to the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman 911 tapes below.

The first recording is the 911 call made by George Zimmerman as he reported what he referred to as a suspicious person.. You can hear him refer to Trayvon Martin as a “fucking coon” at about the 2:20 mark:

Call 2-Trayvon Heard Screaming For His Life Before Gunshots

This is a 911 call from a homeowner whom stated the incident was taking place behind her home. In the call, you can hear screaming and gunshots:

Call 3-Female Neighbor Reports Gunshots After Shooting

This is a call from a 30-year-old, female neighbor who called to report having heard gunshots and tells the operator that she heard “screaming and gunshots.” She also reports that the incident is going on behind her house. She said she heard screaming from a male. She also reports that there was “a guy on top with a white t-shirt” atop another person:

Call 4-Male Neighbor Reports Wrestling/Gunshots After Shooting

This is a call from a male neighbor after the shooting occurred. He reports having seen wrestling and having heard a “guy is yelling help” and a shot behind his house. He says he’s “pretty sure the guy’s dead” outside. He reports that there is a “Black guy down and he looks like he’s dead.”

Call 5-Female Neighbor Reports Someone Has Been Shot

This is a call from a female neighbor who reports, “I think someone’s just been shot.” She reports that people told her to call 911 and that there are people outside with flashlights.

Call 6-Sister And Brother Report Seeing Trayvon On Ground And Hearing Shot

This is a call from a female who reports that her brother ran in the house after someone was shot. The brother then reports that he saw “a man laying on the ground that needed help that was screaming.” He said he was going to help, but his dog got off the leash. He said he heard a loud sound and then the screaming stopped.

Call 7-Female Caller Two Doors Down Reports Screaming And Gunshot

This is a call from a female neighbor hearing someone yelling, “Help! Help!” and some moaning, then a gunshot. She also reports seeing a person or people out there with flashlights.

Call 8-Distraught Female Neighbor Reports Screaming

This is a call from a distraught female neighbor who reports having heard screams. At the time of the call she reports seeing someone on the grass and it looks like they are dead. She observed this from her back window. She reports that a guy “says he shot a person.” The woman begins to cry and says that this is a nice neighborhood and asks why someone would kill someone like that. Later in the call, she reports hearing someone yelling, “Help! Help!” at the time of the incident. She regrets not being able to help the person.
