Should we pay high school kids to go to school and get good grades? Citing graduation as the goal, an Ohio charter school pays high school kids $10 – $25 per week for attending class and successfully completing assignments. Each time they’re paid, $5 goes into a savings account that’s given to them when they graduate. The program doesn’t use operating funds, but instead operates on $40,000 it raised from charitable programs and two private donors.
