We cannot look at a person based on where they are and think that we can tell the path that led them there.
We never truly know how they got there unless we are compassionate enough to care to find out. Nevertheless, does it really matter? When we truly ‘see’ a person for who they are, none of that matters — not the past, not the future, only the present matters.
